SIMPLE TO INSTALL
MOTOR LEARNS LOAD & LIMITS POWER
WIDE SPEED RANGE
GET THE CONVENIENCE OF A MOTOR
WITHOUT GIVING UP THE VERSATILITY
OF MANUAL OPERATION. Not only are Common Track Motorization Units
almost completely silent, they don’t interfere
with normal rope operation of the drape. Push
the button or pull the rope, it’s up to you. The
internal encoder and included limit switches
track your drapes every move.
LIGHTNING FAST TO A SLOW CREEP
A curtain that moves too slowly can be a bit awkward for the audience. For those onstage 10
to 15 seconds of forced smiles and jazz hands while the curtain lumbers closed can be down
right dreadful. So, motor speed is a common question. Unlike other motors, the CT-CM1
Single Speed unit’s travel speed is set in the field at commissioning; as is the top speed of the
CT-CM2 Variable Speed models. So whether lightning fast or more moderately paced, the
ideal speed for your specific venue and needs can be achieved.
The maximum capable top speed is determined by the size and weight of the curtain. With a
peak output of 7 HP though, even very large drapes can be quickly accelerated to speeds of
220 fpm or more.
To keep all this power in check the motorization units have power limiting and permanent
load profiling. After installation a unique torque profile is made and permanently stored in the
units non-volatile memory. Should the curtain get fouled or other mechanical problem
occur the motor can sense the abnormal resistance and shut off, greatly reducing any
chance of damage.
